Route
A real challenge
The route for the EVS Viking Rally has been chosen so as to be a real challenge to both vehicles and drivers, taking the coastal route across Norway from its eastern capital to the international oil and gas hub Stavanger in the far west.
To accommodate differences in range and charging times for different types of vehicles, two different routes will be used. The shorter one, best suited for most electric vehicles, follows the main highways for the most of the route, for a total distance of about 550 km. The longer route, made particularly for hydrogen vehicles, leaves the highways to travel local roads, including narrow dirt roads, making scenic detours through forests, over mountains and along breathtaking fjord landscapes. This route has a total length of about 750 km.
