WRC driver Henning Solberg is not used to being in the passanger seat. But on the first leg of the EVS Viking Rally he had to give up his usual seat for H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.
Hydrogen highway opens in Norway
The HyNor Partnership and StatoilHydro are pleased to announce the official opening of the Norwegian hydrogen highway, HyNor, on 11 May 2009 at StatoilHydro's new hydrogen station at Økern in Oslo. HyNor was opened by Norway's Minister of Transport and Communications, Liv Signe Navarsete. H.R.H. Crown Prince Haakon of Norway joined the first stage of the EVS Viking Rally, from Oslo to Lier, together with internationally renowned race car driver Henning Solberg. The governing mayor of Oslo, Erling Lae, opened StatoilHydro's new hydrogen service station at Økern, and Navarsete opened the hydrogen station at StatoilHydro's service station in Lier.

Eco racer to drive in Viking Rally
Race car driver and environmental activist Leilani Münter is headed to Norway to participate in the EVS Viking Rally 2009.
Crown Prince Haakon participates in Viking Rally
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway and international rally driver Henning Solberg will both be on the starting line of EVS Viking Rally 2009. The competition is a road rally from Oslo to Stavanger for zero emission vehicles only, and takes place on May 11-13.

Competition filling up quickly!
We are very happy that we already have many great teams registered for the EVS Viking Rally. Unfortunately, however, we are getting close to our participant limit, meaning that registration may close early. If you are not registered yet, you should do it now!
Lampo joins EVS Viking Rally
Swiss car designer Protoscar has entered their brand new electric concept car Lampo into the EVS Viking Rally.

The registration deadline for the EVS Viking Rally is April 15. Registration may also be accepted after this date, at a doubled registration fee.
